Breakfast – The most important meal of the day. And in my opinion the best meal of the day. What can I say, I love having breakfast. Could probably eat my brekkie five times a day. So to all of you that do not eat breakfast – start now! It is a healthy habit that gives you that well needed energy throughout the day. Enjoying a nutritious and healthy breakfast helps you control your appetite during the day and prevents you from overeating.
I’m trying to begin each day with a warm cleansing drink with water, lemon, ginger, turmeric, cayenne pepper and honey. This does not happen every day though, but it is my aim since it is such a refreshing start for the body. At least I try to drink two glasses of water before I indulge in my morning coffee 😉
It feels like I’m still in my night shift routines. I fall a sleep around 3 am and wake up at 11 am. Not good at all since I’m a true morning person. My breakfast has been more of a brunch these last couple of days. Besides my raspberry smoothie I enjoyed fried eggs with roasted seeds on gluten free bread.
