Blueberry smoothie

I’m a smoothie junkie. And if you ask me you can never go wrong with a blueberry smoothie. The sun is shining through my windows and I feel Spring knocking on my front door. How lovely!

These delicious berries are full of antioxidants, rich in fiber and vitamins A and C. They boost your brain, and may even prevent cancer and diabetes. Isn’t that a perfect reason to start munching on these tasty berries daily. If you have the possibility to pick your own berries during Autumn and put in the freezer it would be splendid. At least it’s a cheaper option than buying from the food market.

If you tired of using bananas in your smoothies, try to add avocado instead. It gives that rich and creamy texture, not to mention healthy fats!

Ingredients:

2 dl blueberries

1 banana or half an avocado

1.5-2 dl almond milk

1 tbs shredded coconut

1 tbs peanut butter

1 tsp bee pollen

A hint of cinnamon

0.5 dl gluten free oats

Instructions:

Place all ingredients except the oats in a blender and MIX.

Pour the smoothie in a jar, add the oats and stir with a spoon. Let stand for a minute or two.

Add some protein powder for an extra protein boost. I added some rice protein.
