I found some frozen acai berry puree that my boyfriend bought earlier this month and I decided to make myself an acai bowl for lunch. Creamy and full of goodies. On Thursday I start a three day cleanse so I decided to eat a bit lighter two days before. But the coffee! I’ve already had three cups today. How will I survive three days without the black love of mine?! I guess a couple of days without coffee will do me good.
Back to this acai bowl. It tastes heavenly. Thick, creamy and full of antioxidants. A nice and healthy breakfast that will nourish your body and give you plenty of energy. Or why not as a lighter lunch on a warm summer’s day.
50 g frozen acai berry puree
1 dl blueberries
3 tbs soya yoghurt
1 dl almond milk
1 tbs almond butter
1 tbs maca powder
A hint of vanilla powder
1. Place all ingredients in a blender and mix on full speed for a couple of minutes.
2. Top the acai bowl with gluten free granola, fresh berries and dried mulberries.
