Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.

Third day with the flue and I’m trying my best to fuel my body with all the vitamins I can get (and plenty of rest). I’m such a restless soul and therefore I hate being sick. I wanna be active and not lay on the sofa the whole day (which I seldom do anyway although I should). However, yesterday I spent the whole afternoon & evening watching tv and this morning I slept until late. Luckily I feel a bit more energised today. Gonna continue drinking lots of lemon water and fuelling my body with plenty of veggies and anti inflammatory foods (and yes, rest a bit more).

I’m a firm believer that food is medicine – hence the importance of choosing the right kind of foods that are good for your body and your overall wellbeing. In my opinion far better than taking pills, especially if you only suffer from a cold. Nature is filled with healthy foods that can boost our health.

Foods that have anti inflammatory properties;

– Turmeric

– Ginger

– Raw honey

– Lemon

– Garlic

– Cold pressed coconut oil

– Green leafy vegetables

– Blueberries

– Walnuts
